BESIMSR encourages its students to participate in many inter and intra-collegiate events. We occasionally also take time to take our students for field trips, industrial visits and leisure trips. These are the list of recent events at BES’s IMSR.

• Mr. Ali Akhtar Hussain Khandwawala won the Best Speaker Award in an inter-collegiate event called SPLASH, on the topic “the role of youth in securing peace.”

• Mr. Aamir Karim, Mr. Keyur Vachani and Mr. Ali Akhtar Hussain Khandwawala, represented BES IMSR  in the popular discussion and debate show, MONEY MANTRA by RELIANCE MONEY on the business channel NDTV PROFIT for topics such as “How small house hold savings can be beneficial in the current economic crisis” and “The role of pension funds in India.” 

• Photo: A peace rally was arranged by the students of BESIMSR in tribute to the 26/11 victims and martyrs, which also indirectly contributed to our social responsibility. The rally was taken place from the institute till Shivaji Park at Dadar.

•         Our girls (Manali Padwal, Suruchi M., Kamala T. and Amruta Naik) came 2nd place at the ‘HR MELA’ held at Babasaheb Gawde Institute of Management Studies in Feb 2009

• Industrial Visit to Asian Paints (Bhandup) in October 2008

• Industrial Visit to Bisleri Water Plant(Vile Parle) in November 2008

• 4-day Industrial Visit to Goa in March 2009

• On 4th and 5th September 2009, the new Academic batch began with a a two-day orientation programwhich sets apart induction standards from other colleges. The students enjoyed and learned various aspects of the MMS course.

• On 5th September 2009, Jayesh Thakkar, Amruta Naik and Swapnil Ambure were facilitated with prizes for getting high marks in the first two semesters.

• On August 10th 2009, Monday, delegates from the US consul including Mr. Demetreyo Consul of Foreign Trade and Mr. Michael Newbill (US Consul in Mumbai) paid a visit to the Institute for addressing foreign Trade relations of the US with India. It was an exciting interaction, where our students Ali Khandwawala, Aamir Karim and others brought up interesting issues to discuss with the delegates.

• On 28th September 2009, inter-college events were held at Lala Lajpat Rai College ( Chakravyuh ). BES’s students from both batches participated in the event. The seniors bagged a few prizes, such as the HR bidding Contest where each participant was given a hypothetical sum of 1 lakh rupees and asked to bid for HR values he\she would like in an employee. 

• Aamir Karim came 1st out of 10 college teams on an individual basis.

• The second event was of HR branding where again our HR specialization students secured 2nd place where each team was given the role of a consultancy group - which has to convince the judges to award their recruitment business to the consultancy group.

• Aamir Karim, Pranali Raut, Suruchi Mahatre and Kamala came 2nd out of 10 college teams.
